New York Islanders GM and President of Hockey Operations Lou Lamoriello is as old school as it gets, as he hasn't changed his strict "clean cut/shave" policy since 1987. In view of his rules that he set in place, Islanders forward Anthony Duclair, known as "The Duke", had to get a haircut, which entailed cutting off his beautiful locks that he was known for.

✂️ Antony Duclair had to cut his hair due to Lou Lamoriello’s “cut and shaven” policy. Is this rule getting outdated, or does it still define Lou’s Team identity? 🤔#isles #NHL pic.twitter.com/hHLWHAGkTG

Fans first witnessed this as Duclair posted a pile of hair on his Instagram story Wednesday, while putting a sad emoji to showcase his feelings about having to try a new look.
The 28-year-old recently signed with the team this offseason on a $14 million/four-year deal, however, it is unknown if at the time he knew that he was going to have to change his hair style.
Praying for Anthony Duclair.

All in all, fans are not too happy about the front office executive enforcing such a strict rule, but the 81-year-old is set in his ways, and this shouldn't surprise anyone who has been following the Islanders over the past couple decades.

Notably, this is now his ninth team that Duclair has joined since being drafted in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
