Penguins lose another player, this time to a bone-jarring hit

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been playing well this season. They're sitting in second place in the Metropolitan, and with 36 points, they're just two behind the surprising New York Islanders.

But there's a reason for concern. Pittsburgh may have lost another player last night when forward Patric Hornqvist and Vancouver Canucks defenseman Ryan Stanton collided helmet-to-helmet. Take a look. Wow. There are two views of the play —- slow motion (above) and real time (below). It was a hard hit —- no penalty was called —- that knocked Hornqvist out of the game. No word on how long he'll be out.

Hornqvist joins Pascal Dupuis (blood clot), Beau Bennett (lower body) and Chris Kunitz (foot), who are battling injuries. Defenseman Kris Letang (groin) is on injured reserve.
