Ref Mike Leggo vomits on ice, delays game

The game between the Pittsburg Penguins and the Tampa Bay Lightning Friday night was delayed in the first period when ref Mike Leggo became ill and threw up on the ice.

Due to an illness to referee Mike Leggo, the @TBLightning/@Penguins game will continue under the three-official system. #TBLvsPIT

Leggo would leave the game and not return. A three man officiating crew would be used for the remainder of the game. The Penguins (24-9-5) would top the Lightning (24-12-4) 6-3.
