Former Ohio State star arrested at a water park

The arrest happened on Sunday night.

According to WKBW (ABC 7), former Ohio State star and current Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was arrested on Sunday at a Cincinnati water park.

The report mentions that police officers were clearing out the water park on Sunday night when Washington displayed a gun to nearby officers while sitting in his car. Washington does have a valid concealed carry permit in Ohio, but not informing the officers that he was carrying put him in violation of the state's concealed carry laws.

From the police report, via WKBW:

"While Officer Armstrong and Officer Morgan were clearing out a crowd on the lot of Splash Waterpark, suspect reached for and displayed a gun while sitting inside his vehicle, just feet away from officers. The suspect did not inform officers beforehand. Suspect was arrested, process at the PD and released."

This is not Washington's first run-in with the law, as he was cited for solicitation back in December of 2015. Those charges were eventually dropped.

Washington was a standout at Ohio State for four years, racking up 142 tackles (25 TFL), 13.5 sacks, and one touchdown in his career with the school. He was eventually taken in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Bills.
