Barack Obama: "What do you think about this young guy [Anthony Edwards] he can hoop a lil bit huh?"
Joel Embiid: "Yea a lil bit"
Anthony Edwards: "Man y'all betta stand down, I'm da truth."
One user on X noted, "Anthony Edwards act the same in any room, his confidence thru the roof... even Barack Obama was surprised."
Ultimately, it appears that Anthony Edwards made quite the impression on the former Commander-in-Chief, as he more recently gave high praise to the up-and-coming athlete while making an appearance on The Young Man And The Three podcast.
"He's got a charisma on the court, he's just having fun out there," Obama said. "He likes the smack talking and the challenge."

Many believe the 23-year-old is on the verge of becoming a "new face of the NBA candidate," with LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant entering into the twilight of their careers.
Considering Edwards' authentic (somewhat audacious) personality, combined with his sense of humor, he is certainly a fan favorite. Then, in view of his on-the-court play, the 3x All-Star undoubtedly has proven himself as one of the most dominant players in the league.
In his fifth season, Edwards is currently averaging (pre-All Star break), a career-high 27.5 points (44.4 FG%; 41.4% 3PT), 5.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
