Canadian Pole Vaulter Responds To OnlyFans Critics After Olympics Twerk

Canadian pole vaulter Alysha Newman clearly isn't bothered by critics who are questioning her OnlyFans page. After all, her popularity has skyrocketed following her bronze-medal finish in the Paris Olympics, when she twerked in celebration.

Afterward, many discovered her OnlyFans page.

"Of course, many people have a certain cliché when they think of OnlyFans. I can't change many people's minds," Newman, 30, said, via the New York Post. "... But this website has connected me with many fans, more than any other pole vaulter before. What others think about it doesn't bother me. I am who I am and I do it well."

Newman's OnlyFans page reportedly got about 65,000 "likes" after her achievement at the Olympics.

"Newman posts 'a lot of [her] training sessions' on OnlyFans, with BILD reporting it costs $7.14 to view her page during the Paris Games versus a monthly subscription of $12.99," the Post relayed.

"I earn money with what I post - you have to log in to find out. It makes me confident and I feel good about it," Newman said.

The Post added: "It's been an Olympics to remember for Newman, who secured Canada's first medal in women's pole vaulting after reaching a height of 4.85 meters — smashing a Canadian national record."

Newman was happy enough with the result to twerk in front of a worldwide audience.

"It was a surreal moment. It was awesome," Newman said, via Canada's Olympic website. "Everyone was saying if someone was going to do it it would be me and I'm so happy I lived up to that expectation."
