Olympic Swimmer Sets Social Media Ablaze With Stunning Pics

It's safe to say swimmer Luana Alonso of Paraguay has already won a gold medal — at least, she has when the idea is going viral via the Paris Olympics.

Not surprisingly, Alonso's success came after she posted some pics of herself in a bikini. Hey, if you can't win your event, some will tell you this is the next best thing.

For the record, Alonso most recently swam for SMU. Along with going viral, she is actually accomplished at her sport. You don't qualify for the Olympics otherwise.

"Alonso previously competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo at just 17 years old. Now 20, she also participated in the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, as well as at the South American Games in Asuncion, Paraguay, during the same year," wrote Craig Garrett of Suggest.com.

But now, it appears, the swimmer has found a second career.

In 2022, Alonso shared her experience of getting a tattoo of the Olympic rings on her hip. "Just joined the Olympic Rings tattoo club ?????," she wrote alongside a pic of her at the beach, sporting the new ink while wearing a swimsuit.

"The ink Olympic ink was also featured in a sassy pic of Alonso taking a shower while in a barely-there neon green bikini," Garrett wrote. "No doubt an essential part of her Olympic training."

Alonso has also shared pics of her gym workouts — and yes, many come in a bikini or while otherwise fairly scantily clad. That's just how you go viral these days.

Actually winning the gold? Well, that seems a little bit secondary.
