Many Paris residents took to social media to show their view of the power outage. While it wasn't confirmed to affect the entirety of the city, there were some concerns as there was no electricity for 10 minutes to one hour, depending on the area.

That is to say, this is coming off the recent reports of travel chaos following multiple arson attacks from protestors on the railway system.

Amélie Oudéa-Castera, the French minister of sports/Olympic and Paralympic Games, said the disruption to the train lines are "a sort of coordinated sabotage," which has been called an attack on France.

The travel of Olympic athletes was affected by this, as reported by CNN, "of all four Olympic trains, only two were able to run, one was canceled and a third is being prepared."

Not to mention, there were other complications as the rainstorms caused some of the events, including tennis and skateboarding, to be postponed.

One Paris resident told the Daily Mail, "This is not typical weather. For a tennis fan like me, this is very bad luck and also for Paris... We want to show off the Olympics to the world in one of the best cities, but the rain spoiled the opening ceremony and now the sport."

In regards to the recent power outage many have reacted, as this occurred less than 24 hours following the controversial Olympics opening ceremony, which received much backlash across the world for obvious demonstrations of blasphemy, mocking "the Last Supper."

Considering this, the lights going out has been perceived by some as a possible "judgment from God" after the world witnessed satanic symbolism during the opening ceremony performances.
