Announced in June, The Snow League is the first professional season-long winter sports league dedicated to snowboarding and freeskiing. The snowboard portion will feature men and women competing over four events on halfpipes around the world. The freeskiing portion of the season will begin with the second event.
As part of the new media rights agreement, NBC and Peacock will provide coverage for The Snow League's inaugural event in Aspen, Colorado, on March 7-8, 2025. Peacock will continue to broadcast the remaining three events in the first season. NBC Network will provide encore presentations.

According to the press release, NBC Sports will provide the broadcast times and locations as the season approaches.
"I'm so excited about this partnership for The Snow League with NBC Sports," White said in a press release. "This collaboration will showcase the incredible talent in snowboarding and freeskiing and bring the thrill of the competition to a whole new level.
"We hope to inspire the next generation of athletes, and there is no better platform to help showcase our athletes and their stories than NBC Sports."
White creating The Snow League is fitting considering his reputation as one of the best action sports athletes in history. His resume includes gold medals in the halfpipe event at the 2006, 2010, and 2018 Olympics. He holds the X Games record with 15 gold medals, and he is the first athlete to compete in the Winter and Summer Games.
White's expertise in action sports will only benefit The Snow League as it aims to support snowboarders and freeskiers. These competitors will be in the spotlight on a major network platform while accumulating points in each event.
The athletes with the most points at the end of the inaugural season will be crowned champions. The total prize purse for The Snow League's first season will exceed $1.5 million.
"Shaun White is a true icon and his vision for The Snow League has us excited for this next evolution in our long-time partnership," said Joe Gesue, Senior Vice President of NBC Olympics & Paralympics Programming & Executive Editor, in a statement.
"This innovative new venture will showcase top snowboarding and freeskiing athletes at iconic venues around the world, giving world-class competitors a much-deserved spotlight and help us all build momentum heading into what promises to be a magical 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina."
