"Prodigy" and former Ring of Honor top prospect officially debuts with WWE (Spoilers)

He's been wrestling since 2014.

Former Ring of Honor standout Lio Rush made his debut with WWE NXT Thursday night at the show's taping as a challenger to Aleister Black. As the crowd heated up for the potential matchup, Velveteen Dream attacked Rush during Black's entrance. Black ran Velveteen Dream out of the ring and sat crosslegged in the middle of the ring.

WWE announced it had signed Rush back in August, who reported to the Performance Center after a steady rise on the independent scene and with Ring of Honor.

The 22-year-old Rush has been wrestling since 2014, winning the Ring of Honor Top Prospect tournament in 2016.

WWE made specific mention of Rush joining former tag team partner "The Velveteen Dream" Patrick Clark at the Performance Center.
