WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa'i Has Passed Away At 81

WWE HOFer Afa Anoa'i has passed away at 81 years old, less than two months after his brother Sika Anoa'i died at 79.

The daughter of Afa, Vale Anoa'i, announced the passing on her social media page.

"Today, all of our lives are irreparably changed. I love you so much, Dad," Vale wrote on X. "More than any words could ever express. Your strength was absolutely superhuman. You fought all the way to the end, and the end was peaceful. That's all I could have hoped for. I love you so very much."

To note, Afa had been dealing with health issues recently, as he suffered two heart attacks, in addition to having many major surgeries done.

His first match came in 1971, and he went on to have a legendary wrestling career alongside his brother Sika, as the two were known as the "Wild Samoans" tag team.

To mention, Afa and his brother won WWF World tag team championships three different times and were both inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 as well as the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2012.

Notably, Afa was also the uncle of current WWE star Roman Reigns, who was the son of Sika.

The entire WWE community will never forget the impact that both Afa and Sika had on the entire sport of wrestling, for their legacies will live on.
