WWE reportedly preparing to add former champion to the main roster

The recent influx of talent certainly helps make up for the massive void he'll leave.

Saturday night in Brooklyn, New York, WWE NXT changed gears, with Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly decimating Sanity following their tag title win over the Authors of Pain. That led into the duo appearing yet again to set up Adam Cole (BAYBAY)'s debut by beating down new NXT champ Drew McIntyre.

As all of that happened, Bobby Roode exited the screen and made his way back up the entrance ramp, completely out of sight from the new storyline. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, that's because Roode is expected to be called up to the main roster in the coming weeks as part of another "Superstar Shakeup."

The 40-year-old Roode held the NXT title for more than 200 days. He rose quickly through NXT and has appeared ready to make the jump to Raw or Smackdown for months. The recent influx of talent certainly helps make up for the massive void he'll leave.
