Former WWE superstar CM Punk continues making headlines outside the squared circle and the octagon, and, in an interview with ESPN Radio, Punk opened up about his pro wrestling past.
Via WrestleZone:
"When he was asked whether there is any part of him that misses pro wrestling he said, "Not at all." He went on to say that WWE has been sending lawyers and proxies after him because he, "Called them on their BS."
"As far as another fight in UFC goes he noted that he has not spoken with Dana White in several months but he does want to fight again. He said that he will know in another month or two if he is going to have another UFC fight."
Punk has always been an interesting figure, and, once he puts his mind to something, he moves forward with that plan or idea. It certainly seems like he was ready to be done with the professional wrestling chapter of his in 2014, and, if he really missed it, he'd already be back — even if it wasn't in WWE.
Until he returns, he'll always be linked to possibly returning because that's what wrestling fans want — one last run in WWE or Ring of Honor or wherever.
It also doesn't seem like it's a definite that Punk is finished in UFC and may have at least one more fight for the promotion.
Either way, it should be interesting to see where the Straight Edge Superstar winds up.
