Rush has been rumored to be headed to WWE's developmental brand for months, but now it appears it's finally happening.
Via PWInsider:
"Former CZW champion and ROH star Lio Rush announced during tonight's CZW event that he would make a final appearance for Combat Zone Wrestling on 8/5 against Joey Janella in Voorhees, NJ. The word going around backstage at CZW is that Rush was in Orlando earlier this week at the WWE Performance Center and has been offered an NXT deal."
Rush is still just 22-years-old, but he's already accomplished a lot on the indies as a former CZW world champion and putting on a plethora of big-time performances in Ring of Honor.
He also has a history with Patrick Clarke, or Velveteen Dream as he's now known in NXT, as the two used to tag with another early in Rush's career.
Unlike a lot of recent signings to NXT, Rush is actually young and is someone who can be at NXT for a while to establish himself on WWE's black and yellow brand.
