Former champion shares news of his awful health decline which now "disqualifies him from working with WWE"

All the best to Mr. Monday Night.

Former WWE standout Rob Van Dam is going through a divorce with his estranged wife, Sonya, and according to the Blast, he's shared some awful news on his health and a potential WWE return.

According to RVD, a concussion suffered on November 12, 2016, has caused "visual impairment" that has disqualified him "from working for the WWE."

The former star claims that has caused him to take a major financial hit and his merchandising contract with WWE ended in July 2017, per the report. Additionally, RVD reportedly included a copy of WWE's Concussion Management Program protocol  and a medical evaluation, while claiming his ex is able to earn income on her own.

RVD has been wrestling since 1990, first appearing with the United States Wrestling Association. He had a brief stint in WCW before truly making his name in ECW.

Van Dam joined WWE in 2001, wrestling until 2007 with the promotion before touring the independent circuit. He joined Impact Wrestling for four years and eventually landed back in WWE from 2013-14.

A return to WWE, at least according to Van Dam, seems unlikely at this point.

He's a former ECW Heavyweight Champion and WWE Champion. He also held the European, Hardcore, Intercontinental and Tag Team titles during his run with WWE.
