WWE legend Jim Ross has a surprising take on Ronda Rousey's possible wrestling future

Rousey is a lifelong wrestling fan.

It's been long speculated that former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey would eventually join WWE in some capacity, especially with her MMA status in question.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who is currently working on a limited schedule with the company, told TMZ on Tuesday that Rousey's transition to professional wrestling is "inevitable".

"It's just a matter of time before Ronda Rousey officially signs with Vince McMahon — so says WWE legend, Jim Ross, who says it's a "match made in heaven," Ross said. "Oh, she's gonna be a big star," the WWE Hall of Famer told us at LAX ... "It's inevitable. I see her in a WrestleMania someday. It's too great an opportunity for her to pass up and WWE to pass up ... it's a match made in heaven."

Rousey, a lifelong wrestling fan, has worked with the company in the past, including an in-ring segment with The Rock, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

She also attended WWE's recent taping of the Mae Young Classic at Full Sail University in support of friend and fellow "Four Horsewomen" Shayna Baszler, who made the transition from MMA to professional wrestling in 2015.

After the match, Rousey and company were filmed interacting with WWE's "Four Horsewomen" members Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bayley, which added to the speculation that the former UFC Champion would eventually work an angle with the group.
