WWE Smackdown Live!: Results for Tuesday, June 13

  • The show kicks off with The New Day with an incredible New Day entrance in New Orleans. The Smackdown Live Tag Team champions aren't having it for long, though, as they come out to a chorus of boos as they push back against the New Day claiming they'll defeat the Usos at Money in the Bank. We also get to hear the Colons speak for the first time, possibly, ever. An eight-man tag match is up next.

  • The New Day & The Fashion Police take on The Usos & The Colons in a very long match. Xavier Woods gets the pin on Primo Colon. This match got a lot of time, and it's amazing to see how much switching television shows has benefited The New Day, but it has. They feel fresh, and, more importantly, feel like stars on Smackdown Live. Fans were super into this match, and, just like that, the show is already a fourth of the way done.
  • I'd still expect the Usos to retain their Smackdown Live tag team titles Sunday at Money In The Bank.
  • The backstage segments with Sami Zayn continue to be one of the more peculiar things in the WWE. AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura come off looking like stars, but Zayn is eccentric as ever.
  • ZACK RYDER IS BACK!

  • Naomi is in action next against Tamina. The crowd was really not into this match at all, but Naomi was able to hit a lot of impressive spots in this match. Lana attacks Naomi with an impressive finisher after the match much to the surprise of everyone. The Lana vs. Naomi match just got a lot more interesting.
  • I guess the 9:00 EST hour is Jinder Mahal's time now? One of the best RKOs outta nowhere after a long-winded promo from Mahal. Orton celebrates in the crowd. There may be something to this feud after all. Mahal's presentation continues to be spot-on, but he just hasn't delivered on the mic and it just may not ever be there. It feels like Mahal is the U.S. Champion on this show.
  • The backstage segments on this show have been very good for the most part. Kevin Owens is just so naturally good in segments like these. Owens also continues to come off as the WWE Champion of Smackdown Live. Him, and the U.S. Title, being in the main event of tonight's show only reinforces that.
  • Charlotte and Natalya have another solid match with the former wrestling circles around the latter. Charlotte moonsaults never get old.
  • The Fashion Files continue to be one of the most-entertaining things in the WWE. Why isn't Tyler Breeze and Fandango just referred to as the Fashion Police now? Breezango has, well, 'gotta go.
  • SOS: Please just let Lana drop the Russian accent — and never mention it again. It will be fine!
  • Six-Man Tag match is the main event.
  • Baron Corbin is one year way from being cast as a main villain on The Walking Dead. I'm sure of it.
  • Fun match, but the crowd was really out of it for the majority of this match, outside of AJ Styles offense. Hard to see a favorite heading into MITB, but Corbin or Zayn still feel like the most logical choices.
