During Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live, WWE provided another update on the health of ailing legend Ric Flair, who is in critical condition after being admitted to the hospital this weekend.
As many of you already know, Ric Flair has been battling health issues over the past few days. Yesterday he underwent successful surgery. We can report that Ric is resting comfortably in Atlanta. However, he remains in critical condition.
Flair's management team reported that the legend was originally going to the hospital for return heart monitoring before things took a turn for the worse. Flair had surgery to repair an issue with his colon on Monday, but is also battling other issues with his kidneys that have left him in an intensive care unit in Atlanta. The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Flair is currently on dialysis as doctors try to get his kidneys functioning again.
Flair is one of the most prolific champions in pro wrestling history, having won dozens and dozens of titles across his 40-year career. We send our thoughts and prayers to him and his friends and family in this difficult time.
