The Great Khali's return to WWE was apparently short lived.
According to PWMania, Khali was not medially cleared to compete after his initial appearance at Battleground, where he helped Jinder Mahal defeat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship in the Punjabi Prison match.
After Orton had laid out Mahal and his stooges, the Singh Brothers, it was Khali who returned to shake the challenger from the top of the cage, then he held him in a choke as Mahal escaped over the top to retain his title.
Khali was slated to team with Mahal against Orton and a partner at SummerSlam, per the report. Now, WWE will go with Mahal against Shinsuke Nakamura for the championship belt.
The news comes after Khali was moved from WWE.com's active superstars, back to the alumni page.
