After life-altering neck injury, former champion is helping train WWE talent

Former WWE Tag Team champion Tyson Kidd, who is out with a neck injury, is training Lana. Well, at least it appears he is, as a highlight clip of an upcoming Total Divas episode makes it seem that way.

Here is the footage:

For what it is worth, Kidd, who hasn't been seen on WWE television since injuring his neck in a match against Samoa Joe in 2015, was reportedly in discussions to return to the WWE in a non-wrestling role.

From wrestling reporter Ryan Satin back in late June:

"According to sources, Kidd is currently being transitioned into a non-wrestling role. Since it's still fresh, one source says it's too early to define whether it'll be behind the scenes — like a producer/agent — or if he'll be used in some sort of on-air role that doesn't require wrestling."

Obviously, whatever is happening on Total Divas doesn't make it an actual thing. While it is called a reality show, it is as much a real show in a non-scripted way as was The 4400.

Kidd will likely never be able to wrestle again, but the former WWE Tag Team Champion can have an impact on making the stars of tomorrow better prepared for when they reach the big stage.
