The single-car team founded by the late Mark Beard Sr. will reunite with Anthony Alfredo for the season-opening race. The Connecticut native will drive the No. 62 Chevrolet while Fortify Building Solutions serves as his primary sponsor.
Alfredo made three starts for Beard Motorsports last season. He took over the No. 62 at Daytona in February and successfully qualified for the Daytona 500. He also drove the Cup Series car in both races at Talladega Superspeedway. Fortify Building Solutions joined him for the fall race.
"It's an honor to be talking about our ninth season competing in the NASCAR Cup Series," said Amie Beard-Deja, executive vice president of Beard Motorsports, in a statement. "This obviously started as a passion project for my dad and has become a labor of love for our family. We put in a lot of hard work and that is evident by the product we bring to the track every time we show up.
"It's a credit to the team of people that we have assembled to prepare our racecars, and it all starts with our crew chief Darren Shaw, who has been busy preparing the car for the 2025 Daytona 500.
"We are thrilled to have Anthony Alfredo back behind the wheel of the No. 62 Chevrolet and are very honored to continue the relationship we have started with Fortify Building Solutions. To have that brand continue its support of Beard Motorsports means a lot."
The single-car team first began competing in the Cup Series on a limited basis in 2017. It has qualified for the Daytona 500 six times.
Brendan Gaughan controlled the team's Cup Series car in 17 races, but Beard has since featured Justin Allgaier (one start), Parker Retzlaff (one start), Austin Hill (five starts), Noah Gragson (three starts), and Alfredo (three starts).
The team's best finish was fifth in the 2022 Daytona summer race with Gragson behind the wheel.
The Daytona 500 will feature four spots for non-chartered cars. Five teams have already confirmed plans to compete. This includes Beard Motorsports, Trackhouse Racing, MBM Motorsports, NY Racing Team, and Live Fast Motorsports.
The expectation is that Legacy Motor Club, Tricon Garage, Rick Ware Racing, and Team AmeriVet could all attempt to qualify with non-chartered cars.
