The Texas native announced that he will return to Alpha Prime Racing in 2025 to continue driving the No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro. He will move closer to 200 starts in the second-tier series while trying to put Alpha Prime Racing in the playoffs for the first time.

Poole, who previously drove full-time for Chip Ganassi Racing in 2016-17, joined Alpha Prime Racing in November of last year.

He has since made 31 starts for the Tommy Joe Martins-managed organization while posting one top-five finish and two top-10s. His best finish was fifth at Talladega Superspeedway in the spring.

Keeping Poole in the No. 44 Chevrolet provides Alpha Prime Racing with some consistency moving into 2025. This will be key as Ryan Ellis moves over to DGM Racing after two partial seasons and one full season at APR.

For Martins, continuing to work with Poole also means that he can keep building the team culture. He said back in November that the veteran driver fit with what he was trying to do with the team. Martins compared the situation to Stewart-Haas Racing focusing on racers like Josh Berry and Ryan Preece.

"He's never shied away from trying to overachieve on a smaller team," Martins said about Poole in 2023. "You look at teams he's driven for — it's G2G, he's driven for Mike Harmon, he's driven for Johnny Davis, he's driven for Rick Ware Racing in the Cup Series.

"He looks at himself like he is the difference maker, and that is something I preach to our drivers all the time. We are in one of the most competitive series in the entire world, we are the highest-level series in the world that sends cars home every week. You have to be unafraid and truly believe that you can be a difference-maker."

With the announcement public, Poole will close out his first full season in the No. 44 with races at Martinsville Speedway and Phoenix Raceway. He will then head into the offseason knowing that his plans are already set. He will just be able to focus on preparing for his return to a familiar team and a familiar entry.
