The team made the announcement Friday on social media as Truck Series teams took part in practice and qualifying at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

"As of today, Bret Holmes Racing has made the difficult decision to close our doors and will not be returning to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the 2024 or 2025 season," the team said in a statement.

"To all of our fans, sponsors, families — and most importantly our team — we thank you all for the support and commitment (shown) to BHR around every turn. We appreciate each and every one of you for the roles you played in making each race day memorable.

"Following the closing of BHR, Bret Holmes looks to continue racing in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series."

Bret Holmes Racing made its debut in the Truck Series in 2021. Multiple drivers controlled the No. 32 Chevrolet during this inaugural part-time season. Holmes suited up for seven races and posted a season-best finish of 11th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Sam Mayer made four starts for the team and delivered three top-10 finishes. His best run took place at Circuit of the Americas as he crossed the line sixth. Ty Dillon then rounded out the partial schedule with one start at Phoenix Raceway.

The team competed in 10 races in 2022 — eight with Holmes and two with Connor Mosack — before increasing the schedule to 21 races last season. Bret Holmes Racing entered 20 races this season before announcing its departure from the series.

Holmes has made 56 of the team's 63 starts in the Truck Series. He has posted four top-10 finishes and two top-fives.

Before moving to the Truck Series, the organization competed in the ARCA Menards Series. The team competed in 92 races between 2016-23. Holmes was the full-time driver in three seasons (2017, 2019-20). He won the championship in 2020 after posting one win, 14 top-five finishes, and 19 top-10s in the 20 races.

Mosack and Mayer both made multiple starts for Bret Holmes Racing in the ARCA Menards Series. Grant Enfinger made one start. He won at Pocono Raceway in 2016.
