The son of Kyle and Samantha Busch delivered the win Saturday during the Tulsa Shootout. He led all 20 laps of the Junior Sprint A-Main and held off Jax Whittmer. He captured the checkered flags and then celebrated by climbing onto his dirt car and pumping the trophy in the air.

This marked Brexton's first Tulsa Shootout win in his fourth attempt. Owen Larson, the son of Kyle and Katelyn Larson, finished sixth in the main event.

"That was awesome," Brexton said during his post-race interview. "I'm so glad to be here right now and to win. I've been watching all the races from last year to get here, and we won all the races to get here."

The win at the Tulsa Shootout is only Brexton's latest significant achievement. He has continued to grow as a competitor, gaining experience behind the wheel and adding sponsors to his lineup.

"I think this is more stress and more butterflies on me here for him than it is for the Daytona 500," Busch, a two-time Cup Series champion, said in a post-race interview.

"This is just such a huge deal and it means so much to the family and what we do and what we pour our lives into and how we take away from our anniversary week and spend it in Tulsa every year now."

Another major achievement for the Busch family took place in October at North Carolina's Millbridge Speedway. Two members of the family won track championships after a standout season.

Brexton sealed his season-long track championship by finishing second in the season finale. This capped off a year that featured four trips to victory lane. He also finished third in the Box Stock division after winning four races.

His father, for comparison, competed in the 600cc Winged class. Busch won four races in the Lucas Oil-sponsored dirt race. His final win was the season finale, which clinched the track championship.
