While Hailie Deegan has impressively climbed the NASCAR ranks over the last couple years, her success shouldn't be all that surprising, considering who's been guiding her through the process all this time. Hailie's father, Brian Deegan, is the man you want to have in your corner when it comes to motorsports and action sports. This freestyle motocross rider is a true legend, and his accomplishments back that.

While Brian is extremely talented on a dirt bike, it's his versatility that makes him really stand out from the other athletes. He's the only rider that has competed in every single X-Games competition since it started. Between supercross, rally cars, FMX, and truck racing, Deegan is competitive in just about anything. Not only does he compete, but he's also the founder and owner of Metal Mulisha.
Brian is married to Marissa Deegan, and together they have three children. The other two, Hudson and Haiden, currently compete in youth motocross. With his training and help, they'll be reaching the next level in no time!
Brian Deegan Career Highlights
Deegan grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and it didn't take long before he figured out his direction in life. When he was 17, he moved to Southern California to purse his career as a motocross racer. He was noticed quickly and made his way onto his first supercross team.
He made history in 1997 at the Los Angeles Coliseum, when he won his first supercross race by "ghost riding" his bike over the finish line. After that moment, it set in motion an all new breed of competition known as freestyle motocross.
Deegan competed in the Winter X Games in 2004, but crashed hard while attempting to do a 360 over a 100-foot jump, resulting in a broken femur and both wrists. Six months later, he competed in the Summer X Games and successfully landed the trick for the first time, live on ESPN.
In 2009, Deegan transitioned into four-wheeled racing. He competed in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, where he took home a championship win in the Unlimited Lites division, proving his skill to the experienced drivers. He followed this up the next year with two second-place finishes in rally car racing events at the LA Coliseum. In 2011, he brought home the gold in Rallycross. The same year, he won the World Championship race in the Traxxas TORC Series. Deegan brought in more championship wins at the Lucas Oil Off-Road championships in Pro Lite Unlimited and Pro 2 classes, both of which he won on multiple occasions.
Behind the wheel of an Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta, Brian has competed in multiple Global Rallycross Championship races. His best finish was runner-up in 2012. Deegan also debuted his Metal Mulisha monster truck in 2012. With Todd LeDuc behind the wheel, the truck's first event was at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Deegan has also participated in a variety of other projects, including on MTV's Viva La Bam. During the 2005 taping, he under-rotated a backflip, causing the handlebars to hit his midsection. It was a significant injury that resulted in a lacerated spleen and the loss of a kidney.
When it comes down to it, Brian Deegan really is a rock star in the action sports world. He's a 14-time X-Games medalist, which is just three shy of Travis Pastrana's 17 medals.
If you're looking to keep up with what he's up to currently, you can check out Deegan's social media accounts, where he regularly posts about what he and his family are up to. The Deegans really are as badass as it gets!
