According to a press release, Chevrolet completed the season sweep by winning the Craftsman Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series manufacturer championship titles. This is the second consecutive season the Bowtie has completed the season sweep and the sixth time overall.
"Winning the manufacturer championship titles in all three NASCAR national series for the second straight year is a remarkable achievement, and we are so proud of all the Chevy teams," said Scott Bell, Vice President of Chevrolet, in a statement.
"This wouldn't be possible without the hard work and dedication we've seen all season long from Chevrolet engineers, drivers, crew chiefs, and teams. We all work together to put the best race cars and trucks on the track every week, and the championships are a true testament to the strength of that collaborative effort across each series."
Chevrolet has won the manufacturer championship title in eight consecutive seasons in Xfinity and nine times in the past 10 seasons. Justin Allgaier won the driver's championship while JR Motorsports won the owner's championship.
Overall, Chevrolet drivers won 18 of the 33 Xfinity races this season. For comparison, Chevrolet drivers won 12 of the 23 Truck Series races this season. Ford drivers won five races while Toyota drivers won six races. Ty Majeski (Ford) won the driver's championship.
Ford Performance won five of the 10 Cup Series playoff races and celebrated the driver's championship with Joey Logano, but the Blue Oval only won 12 of the 36 points-paying races. Toyota Gazoo Racing North America won nine of the 36 races.
Chevrolet kicked off the season by celebrating a Daytona 500 win with William Byron. The Bowtie drivers won 15 of the 36 points-paying races.
Ford Performance — Team Penske, in particular — has won every driver's championship of the Gen 7 era. Chevrolet has won the manufacturer championship title every year of the Gen 7 era.
