According to the press release, veteran broadcaster Adam Alexander will lead the booth while continuing to provide play-by-play for a series with which he is very familiar. NASCAR driver-turned-analyst Jamie McMurray will join him as an analyst. Parker Kligerman will round out the three-man booth after stepping away from full-time Xfinity competition.
Dillon Welch and Kim Coon, mainstays at NBC Sports for several seasons, will join the CW Sports lineup to continue working as pit reporters. Finally, Emmy Award-winning anchor Carla Gebhart will host the pre-race studio show "NASCAR Countdown Live."
Alexander is a familiar face to Xfinity Series fans. He helmed the Fox Sports coverage of the series from 2015-24. He also called numerous Craftsman Truck Series races and served as a long-time co-host of "NASCAR Race Hub."
Along with calling the Xfinity Series races for CW Sports, Alexander will dabble in the Cup Series. He will join Steve Letarte and Dale Earnhardt Jr. to call 10 races in the heart of the season split between Amazon's Prime Video and TNT Sports.
McMurray comes to CW Sports after several years at Fox Sports. The Daytona 500 winner previously worked as an analyst on multiple Fox Sports shows. He also called multiple races across the Xfinity and Truck Series.
Questions about McMurray's future as an analyst have increased in frequency since he joined the Fox Sports Cup Series booth for one race in 2023. Now, he will make his full-time move to the booth while making the move to a new organization.
Kligerman, a playoff driver in the 2023-24 Xfinity Series seasons, has split his time between racing and broadcasting. He most recently served as a pit reporter and analyst for NBC Sports, a role he took on in 2015. This tenure includes appearances on the now-defunct studio show, "NASCAR America Motormouths."
This booth will make its debut with the season-opening Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, Feb. 15. Alexander, McMurray, and Kligerman will continue to call all 33 races, which will air on the over-the-air CW Network.
