The race weekend in April will be significant for the .375-mile facility in Cordele, Georgia. It will mark the first time that the track has hosted the CARS Late Model Stock Car or Pro Late Model Tour. This will serve as an achievement for new track owner Greg Noland, who has worked with his staff on revitalizing the historic venue.
"It's exciting to have the chance to take the zMAX CARS Tour to Cordele," Dale Jr. said in a statement from the racing series he co-owns with Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick, and Justin Marks.
"Fans in the area have expressed excitement about this race being added to the schedule. Our teams are looking forward to this new challenge. I'm thrilled to add it to the short list of events I'll be racing in next year."
Tickets for this inaugural CARS Tour weekend at Cordele Motor Speedway will go on sale in late January.
There has been an expectation that Dale Jr. would return to racing in 2025 since Sept. 20. This is the day he met with media members at Bristol Motor Speedway and provided some important information about his racing schedule.
As the Hall of Fame driver explained, he didn't have any Xfinity Series races on his schedule for 2025. He said that he was not planning on competing in the NASCAR series but noted that he would continue to dip his racing shoes into grassroots events.
"What I love — to be honest with you — driving that Late Model stock car," Earnhardt said. "I mean, the reason why, the things that I'll enjoy (at Bristol) are there as well, and I can go to some grassroots race track and have a good time and enjoy what I love about driving cars just the same, so I'm gonna continue to do that next year as well."
