The New Jersey native will join forces with Sam Hunt Racing for the season-opening Xfinity race at Daytona on Feb. 15. He will drive the No. 24 Toyota GR Supra while BB Printing Co. serves as his primary partner. Truex will be teammates with Dean Thompson, the full-time driver of the No. 26, during the superspeedway race.

Truex previously made two starts for Sam Hunt Racing. He finished 12th at Daytona in 2022 and 21st at Homestead-Miami Speedway last season. Truex won the summer race at Daytona last season while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.

"Sam and I have known each other for a long time," Truex said in a press release. "We've become great friends outside of the garage area, and I'm thankful to have the opportunity to work together on the track too.

"I'm thankful that our friendship has grown into a business relationship and for the opportunity to race under the SHR banner with BB Printing at Daytona."

Truex will headline the lineup of the No. 24 Toyota GR Supra as it takes on an expanded schedule in 2025. Sam Hunt Racing did not provide a full schedule but said that Truex will be one of several drivers to control the entry.

Brian Gainey will serve as crew chief for the No. 24 team this season. Gainey was the car chief on the No. 20 Xfinity Series team at Joe Gibbs Racing last season. This entry featured several drivers who combined to win nine races. Truex delivered two of these wins — one at Dover Motor Speedway and one at Daytona International Speedway.

"It's always great to have Ryan in our GR Supra, an experienced proven winner in the series and someone that genuinely cares about the success and growth of our team," said team owner Sam Hunt in a statement.

"As the defending Daytona winner, he will serve to be a valuable resource and teammate for Dean in 2025 as well. We're grateful to have BB Printing supporting the effort and look forward to hitting the track and getting the season started."
