Brad Pitt F1 Racing Movie Releases Its Simplest Possible Title

It's been in the works for at least a year and it will finally hit theatres next summer. It stars Brad Pitt and it's a much-awaited flick about Formula One racing.

The title? Well, drumroll please, because this is a masterful name. The movie, it has been revealed, will be called F1.

Yeah, that about sums it up. Nothing flashy here, folks. Its title totally reflects its topic. And it is believed to be one the prices movies ever made.

Pitt is 60 years old and he fittingly will play a retired driver who gets back on track for another run. The movie is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer of Top Gun fame.

As for the name, well, Matt Reigle of Outkick put it perfectly.

"That's like making a movie about pro football and calling it NFL," Reigle wrote. "It was thought at one point that the movie would be called Apex, which is the name of the fictional team that Pitt's character drives for. Perhaps that was a working title at some point, but it looks like that's not the direction they decided to go with the title."

Added Entertainment Tonight:

"Pitt and Damson Idris were photographed filming scenes at last year's British Grand Prix for the upcoming film, which is being produced in collaboration with F1 and shot in and around actual Grand Prix weekends, giving fans a firsthand look at all the action.

"In the high-octane feature, Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes — according to set pics showing his character's garage — a retired driver who returns to F1 racing in order to help train a young upcoming star, played by Idris.
