The Formula 1 team announced on Tuesday that Esteban Ocon will not return this season. The team will now turn to F2 racer Rafael Camara, who was set to officially replace Ocon in the lineup next season.

"TGR Haas F1 Team can confirm that Esteban Ocon will no longer compete on its behalf in the 2026 FIA Formula 1 World Championship," a statement said.

"Rafael Camara will now partner Ollie Bearman in the team at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Rafael will make his Formula 1 debut on home-soil this year having last month been announced as one of TGR Haas F1 Team's full-time driver signings for the 2027 FIA Formula 1 World Championship."

This continues a week of intrigue for Haas F1 Team. On the morning of Oct. 31, the team announced that Ocon would miss the Mexico City Grand Prix. Instead, Ryo Hirakawa would take over while becoming teammates with Ollie Bearman.

Haas F1 Team did not provide any comments about the situation at the time. Reports indicated that a physical altercation had occurred. However, Ocon, released a statement saying that these reports were inaccurate.

"Last night, a difference in viewpoints led to a discussion with the parties involved," the F1 driver wrote on social media.

"Whilst I acknowledge that this took place, I categorically reject any reports or allegations suggesting that any form of physical violence was used to resolve any differences of any nature.

"I strongly condemn violence in all its forms and firmly believe that disagreements should always be handled with professionalism, respect, and mutual understanding."

Team Principal Ayao Komatsu has since released a statement about the sudden driver change. He said that the move is in the best interests of the team. He also acknowledged that conversations unfolded between the team and Ocon, but he said that they will remain private.
