According to the police report, two men entered the Formula 1 event without valid tickets. One man, aged 35, was denied entry due to his ticket being invalid. The other man, aged 39, managed to enter the event despite having fake tickets.

The 39-year-old then made his way into a restricted area set aside for Singapore Grand Prix staff and the performing artists. The Singapore Grand Prix staff located this man and detained him along Republic Boulevard.

The authorities then came and arrested him. The police also arrested the 35-year-old man along Temasek Boulevard.

The police report says that the 39-year-old man is facing two counts of criminal trespass under Section 447 of the Penal Code 1871. This carries a possible penalty of up to three months in jail, a $1,500 fine, or both. The investigation into the 35-year-old man remain ongoing.

While the legal process proceeds in Singapore, the F1 teams will continue with the remaining rounds of the 2026 season. They will next head back to the United States.

The next event on the schedule takes place at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 23-25. They will compete in the United States Grand Prix while battling for the all-important points.

Verstappen, the winner of the Singapore Grand Prix, is the defending winner at Circuit of the Americas. The four-time World Drivers' Champion has won four of the last five races at the Texas road course.

Charles Leclerc in 2024 is the only other driver to celebrate a win in this stretch. Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton is the all-time leader in COTA wins with five between 2012-17.

Once the F1 teams take part in the United States Grand Prix, they will remain in North America to close out the month of October. They will compete in Mexico.
