The new powertrain partner of Oracle Red Bull Racing and Visa Cash App Racing Bulls hosted an event in Detroit, Michigan, and used the opportunity to show off the wildly different liveries.
The Oracle Red Bull Racing race cars controlled by four-time champion Max Verstappen and new teammate Isack Hadjar will feature a dark blue base with the Red Bull logo in multiple areas. The F1 car will also feature new logos for Ford Racing, highlighting the partnership between the championship-winning organizations.
The biggest change is that this F1 livery is quite glossy, which will potentially make it stand out under the lights of Las Vegas and other tracks on the schedule.
The attendees in Detroit saw the livery up close, but this did not mark the first time that Red Bull pulled the covers off the new race car. In fact, the company actually used 2018 Red Bull Air Race World Champion Martin Sonka to unveil the new livery. He flew over the race car and used his tail hook to rip the cover away and provide the first full look.
"First of all, everyone is very excited," Verstappen said in a press release. "The colours have changed a little bit. It is much better. I like the shine, blue is my favourite colour. I like the outlines on the Red Bull logo. It is back and much more fresh.
"It is all still a bit unknown with the engine and the dimension of the car has changed a bit. For us drivers, initially it will take a bit of time to adjust and important on test days to get our laps in and optimise as much as possible. It is always better to have an ending like that (2025) and everybody is excited to start a new chapter."
The Visa Cash App Racing Bulls entries, which Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad will control, stand out in a different way. The 2026 liveries will feature a white base with blue accents. It will have the Red Bull logos, as well as those for Hugo, Visa, Ford Racing, and other partners.
One interesting difference between the two Red Bull liveries is the color of the wheels. The Oracle Red Bull Racing cars will have black wheels. The Visa Cash App Racing Bulls will have white wheels to match the theme.
"2026 represents one of the biggest technical changes Formula One has seen, and partnering with Ford at the very start of this journey is hugely significant for us," said VCARB Team Principal Alan Permane.
"The Red Bull Ford Powertrains project brings together world-class engineering, innovation and racing DNA, and it puts us in a strong position as the sport enters this new era. We've been working closely together and are proud of what the Red Bull family have developed. It's something we're excited to have in our race car as we hit the track in the coming weeks."
The two teams will officially show off their new liveries for the first time on March 6-8 as they kick off the season with the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park Circuit. This marks the first event in a new deal between the United States and F1, which sees events move to Apple TV after years on ESPN.
