According to a press release, Layne Riggs will move to the No. 34 Ford F-150 for the 2025 season as he returns to Front Row Motorsports. He will continue to work with crew chief Dylan Cappello, who guided him to two wins and Rookie of the Year honors.

"I'm looking forward to another season with FRM, and now with the No. 34," Riggs said in a statement. "I have a great group behind me with Dylan (Cappello) leading them from atop the pit box.

"We're ready for the season to start and hit the ground running."

Chandler Smith, who joins Front Row Motorsports for his return to the Truck Series, will take over the No. 38 Ford F-150. He will work with crew chief Jon Leonard during his inaugural season at Front Row Motorsports.

Leonard is a veteran crew chief with experience guiding drivers across multiple series. For example, he was the crew chief for 26 Cup Series races split between Michael McDowell (five), Kasey Kahne (10), and Regan Smith (11).

Leonard most recently worked as a crew chief in the Craftsman Truck Series. He spent last season with Niece Motorsports while working with Conor Daly, Matthew Gould, Matt Mills, and Stefan Parsons. The best outing from this group was Mills' fourth-place finish at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Leonard spent the 2023 season guiding the part-time No. 61 team for Hattori Racing Enterprises. He spent 2020-22 with Halmar Friesen Racing, a run that included a win with Stewart Friesen at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Iowa native now joins forces with Smith, a driver who has past success in the Truck Series. Smith previously drove full-time for Kyle Busch Motorsports during the 2021 and '22 seasons. He won five races, made the playoffs in both seasons, and reached the Championship 4 one time.

"I'm happy to be at Front Row Motorsports," Leonard said in a statement. "They are one of the top teams in the Truck Series and have the resume to prove it.

"I'm looking forward to working with Chandler (Smith) and building a strong relationship with him that will hopefully earn us some checkered flags."
