The team that rose from the ashes of Stewart-Haas Racing previously revealed that former RFK Racing engineer Aaron Kramer will work with Cole Custer on the Cup Series side of the operation. Now, the team has named the crew chiefs who will work with Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer in 2025.
Team President Joe Custer announced during an appearance on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that Jason Trinchere will move to Haas to guide Mayer. Jonathan Toney will remain in the Xfinity operation while joining forces with Creed.

Trinchere is a newcomer to Haas Factory Team. He spent last season with Spire Motorsports in the Craftsman Truck Series. He guided Chase Purdy to two top-five finishes, six top-10s, and one start from the pole.
Trinchere also spent four seasons (2020-2023) as a crew chief at Kaulig Racing. His best season was in 2021 when he guided AJ Allmendinger to five Xfinity Series wins. They reached the Championship 4 and ended the season fourth in the standings.
Unlike Trinchere, Toney is a familiar presence in the building. He has spent the last two seasons as the crew chief for Cole Custer and the No. 00 team.
Toney and Custer celebrated five race wins together, starting with a road course race at Portland International Raceway. They won the Xfinity Series championship in 2023 and then ended last season second in the standings.
Custer will move to the Cup Series next season while Toney will work with Creed, a driver who continues to seek his first Xfinity Series win.
Joe Custer provided more information during his appearance on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. He also confirmed that Haas Factory Team will continue to support other teams in the Xfinity Series through technical alliances.
One alliance is with RSS Racing, a fellow Ford Performance team that fielded three entries last season. The other alliance is with AM Racing, which welcomes Harrison Burton as a full-time driver in 2025.
