This event features 61 entries across four classes trying to complete as many laps as possible at the 3.56-mile Daytona Road Course. This is a true test of build quality as each team tries to make it through the Rolex 24 without crashing or dealing with mechanical failures.
The Rolex 24 will not be the only event on tap this weekend, however, as multiple other series will hold shorter events. The Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup drivers will compete in multiple races on Thursday and Friday. The drivers competing in the BMW M Endurance Challenge will then take to the street course for a four-hour race.
The biggest event of the weekend will begin on Saturday afternoon. The Rolex 24 will officially begin as the first drivers in each team get behind the wheel of their respective cars.
