According to a press release, Arrow McLaren will keep Pato O'Ward in the lineup as a cornerstone. The team will then welcome in six-time champion, Sir Scott Dixon, who just announced his upcoming departure from Chip Ganassi Racing.
Arrow McLaren will also welcome Felix Rosenqvist, the man who won the Indianapolis 500 back in May. This marks a reunion for Rosenqvist, who drove for Arrow McLaren between 2021-23.
Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian, the team for which Rosenqvist currently drives, announced on June 24 that they would part ways after the 2026 season.
With Dixon and Rosenqvist joining the team, two other drivers will lose their spots at McLaren.
Christian Lundgaard will exit the team despite winning two races this season and sitting third in the championship standings. The same goes for Nolan Siegel, the 21-year-old trying to establish a foothold in the sport.
Lundgaard will likely become a top option for multiple teams in IndyCar considering his three career wins and his 50% top-10 finish rate.
Along with the full-time driver changes, Arrow McLaren confirmed that Ryan Hunter-Reay will return for the 2027 Indianapolis 500. Hunter-Reay just became the team's sporting director.
"Our IndyCar team has shown fantastic momentum, and this lineup of Pato, Scott, Felix, and Ryan will strengthen every aspect of our program," said team CEO Zak Brown. "We've got our eyes firmly set on the Championship as well as winning the Indianapolis 500 to secure the Triple Crown in the Papaya era.
"These four drivers bring a wealth of experience as well as great chemistry and will no doubt have a positive impact across our entire team. Christian's and Nolan's contributions have helped shape the progress we're building on today, and I appreciate the energy and drive they have brought to the team since they joined."
