Joe Gibbs Racing announced the news on Wednesday, Jan. 22, and provided some details about the partnership. King's Hawaiian will be the primary sponsor for Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 team in four races this season.
Joe Gibbs Racing did not show off the scheme that Hamlin will use during his first season with King's Hawaiian.
The first race featuring King's Hawaiian on the Toyota Camry XSE will be the night race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on June 28. The sponsor will return at Daytona International Speedway on Aug. 23, Bristol Motor Speedway on Sept. 13, and Martinsville Speedway on Oct. 26.
"We're very excited to welcome King's Hawaiian to our team," Hamlin said in a press release. "It's certainly a product we are very familiar with in our household and a great brand that has made a strong commitment to our sport.
"I'm looking forward to all the exciting things that we can do on and off the track to elevate their program to the next level."
The addition of King's Hawaiian helps offset the loss of a longtime Joe Gibbs Racing sponsor. Hamlin indicated just over an hour before last season's championship race at Phoenix Raceway that FedEx would not return to support him in 2025.
Hamlin's video expressing gratitude to the shipping company did not explicitly say that the partnership was over, but the veteran driver confirmed it in a post-race interview.
Hamlin and Joe Gibbs Racing will now join forces with King's Hawaiian, a sponsor that entered NASCAR in 2022. During a press conference at Darlington Raceway, Brad Keselowski revealed that the family-owned food company had joined forces with his team. He then first showcased a King's Hawaiian scheme at Kansas Speedway.
The 2012 Cup Series champion had King's Hawaiian had a primary sponsor from 2022-24. His best finishes with the company were second at Atlanta Motor Speedway and second at Daytona International Speedway in 2023.
