Samantha Busch, who has been married to the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champ for nearly 11 years, has been extremely open about her and Kyle's fertility issues. On October 2, 2018, Samantha announced on social media that she and Kyle were going to undergo in vitro fertilization. Providing several updates along the way, including a gender reveal video on November 22, Samantha sadly announced on November 30 that she had suffered a miscarriage.
After unsuccessful IVF and gestational surrogacy attempts in 2019 and another unsuccessful IVF attempt in 2021, the Busch's strength and determination has finally resulted in happy news.
On March 30, 2021, Samantha released a book called Fighting Infertility, where she opened up about her own struggles and attempted to provide support and perspective for women going through the same issues.
"My goal was to share my experience to normalize infertility and miscarriage and what it does to women and couples on a physical, mental and emotional level," Samantha wrote in an Instagram post promoting the book back in late October. "Hearing you all say it helped you cope and remain strong, or use it as a tool to educate yourselves and your loved ones humbles me every day."
The Busch couple also runs the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund, which advocates for infertility awareness and awards financial assistance to couples requiring fertility treatments. The fund has granted nearly $1 million, which has helped support the birth of 46 babies. It's good works like this that make you feel all the more happy for Samantha and Kyle's own special bundle of joy coming in 2022.
