New teams will join the starting grid following the departure of others. Drivers will switch series to pursue championships. Some will also switch manufacturers in the process.
These are the biggest changes to know across Trucks, Xfinity, and Cup.
Note: This assumes Front Row Motorsports and 23xI Racing will still compete next season as their antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR continues. Denny Hamlin said it was "TBD."
Cup Series changes
- Trackhouse Racing will expand to three teams. Ross Chastain (No. 1) and Daniel Suarez (No. 99) will welcome Shane van Gisbergen (No. 88), who will compete full-time.
- Front Row Motorsports previously announced it would expand to three full-time teams. However, this remains in limbo as the expansion included purchasing a charter from Stewart-Haas Racing. For now, the team currently has Todd Gilliland and Noah Gragson set to be its full-time drivers.
- 23XI Racing also had plans to expand to three full-time teams. Like FRM, this remains in limbo. Bubba Wallace (No. 23) and Tyler Reddick (No. 45) will return in 2025. If 23XI expands, Riley Herbst is the likely driver.
- Kaulig Racing will feature two full-time cars once again. AJ Allmendinger (No. 16) will return to Cup once again while Ty Dillon (No. 10) joins him in the lineup.
- RFK Racing will have Brad Keselowski (No. 6) and Chris Buescher (No. 17) back full-time. The expectation is the team will expand to a third full-time entry with Ryan Preece joining the team. Keselowski told media members at Phoenix there could be "announcements" in a matter of weeks.
- Spire Motorsports will have a revamped lineup in 2025. Rookie of the Year Carson Hocevar (No.77) will return, as will Justin Haley (No. 7), who joined after Bristol in a midseason trade. Michael McDowell (No 71) will join the team after departing Front Row Motorsports. Crew chief Rodney Childers will join to lead the No. 7 team.
- Haas Factory Team will remain after Stewart-Haas Racing's closure. The team will field one full-time Cup entry with Cole Custer as the driver.
- Wood Brothers Racing will have a new driver for 2025. Josh Berry will take over the No. 21 Ford while replacing Harrison Burton.
- Joe Gibbs Racing will remain largely unchanged. Denny Hamlin (No. 11), Ty Gibbs (No. 54), and Christopher Bell (No. 20) will all return. Chase Briscoe (No. 19) will replace Martin Truex Jr., who closed out his full-time Cup career at Phoenix.
- Rick Ware Racing traded for Corey LaJoie (No. 51) midway through the season. The team has not confirmed if the veteran will return for 2025. RWR has remained quiet about its second entry (No. 15) that featured multiple drivers this season.
- JTG Daugherty Racing will return with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who signed a multi-year deal in May. The team is expected to lose primary sponsor Kroger as the company likely moves to RFK Racing.
Xfinity Series changes
- JR Motorsports will have a revamped lineup in 2025. Xfinity champion Justin Allgaier will return. He will be teammates with rookies Carson Kvapil and Connor Zilisch. The team has not named its fourth driver.
- Haas Factory Team will replace Stewart-Haas Racing. Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer will be the team's full-time drivers in 2025.
- Big Machine Racing will have a new driver as Parker Kligerman retires. Nick Sanchez will move up from the Truck Series to take over the No. 48.
- Joe Gibbs Racing will have multiple lineup changes. Brandon Jones will return to JGR after two seasons with JRM. William Sawalich will drive the No. 19 full-time while Taylor Gray will drive the No. 54 full-time. The team has not announced plans for the fourth entry.
- Kaulig Racing will have two new full-time drivers. Daniel Dye and Christian Eckes will both move up from the Truck Series to compete in Xfinity. Josh Williams will return to Kaulig for his second season.
- AM Racing will return to the starting grid with Harrison Burton as the team's full-time driver.
- Alpha Prime Racing will have Brennan Poole back full-time, but the team will replace the departing Ryan Ellis.
- DGM Racing will welcome a new driver to the organization. Ryan Ellis will drive full-time for the Florida team in 2025.
- Several teams have yet to make announcements about their 2025 plans. This includes Jordan Anderson Racing, SS Green Light Racing, RSS Racing, Viking Motorsports, Joey Gase Motorsports, and Sam Hunt Racing.
Truck Series changes
- Tricon Garage has confirmed Corey Heim's return for 2025. Tayor Gray will not return as he moves to Xfinity. The team has not announced anything regarding Dean Thompson, Tanner Gray, or the drivers for the No. 1 Toyota.
- McAnally-Hilgemann Racing will lose both Christian Eckes and Daniel Dye as they move to Xfinity. The team has yet to make announcements about any of its entries, but Daniel Hemric has been mentioned as a candidate.
- Rackley W.A.R. made a late-season change and put Dawson Sutton into the No. 25 Chevrolet. Sutton will return for a full season in 2025.
- Front Row Motorsports will have Rookie of the Year Layne Riggs back for another season, based on his posts on social media.
- Niece Motorsports will have Matt Mills and Kaden Honeycutt back as full-time drivers in 2025. The team has not made announcements about other drivers.
