According to an announcement from Joe Gibbs Racing, Truex will show up at the 1.5-mile track with Bass Pro Shops as his primary sponsor. There will be a major difference from the standard scheme, however, as the design will mirror the one Truex used in 2017 when he won the championship.

There will be some slight differences. For example, Truex drives the No. 19 instead of the No. 78 as he did at Furniture Row Racing. The 2017 scheme also lacked the "Club" logo for the Bass Pro Shops rewards program.

However, the Toyota Camry XSE will still feature the orange and camouflage stripes made popular during Truex's championship season.

"I feel comfortable and have fun there, and it's nice going to a track you're not dreading and you enjoy and we hope to have some success with our Bass Pro Shops Camry this weekend," Truex said in a release from JGR.

"The scheme from that year was obviously memorable with what we did that year and at Homestead to win it all. Really have to thank everyone at Bass Pro Shops and Joe Gibbs Racing for bringing this scheme back to Homestead one more time."

Truex's championship season was one defined by dominance. He won eight races while driving for Furniture Row Racing, including four of the final 10.

A non-playoff driver, Kyle Larson, dominated the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He led 145 laps and swept the first two stages. However, Truex was in contention throughout the race.

The New Jersey native crossed the line fifth in the first stage and second in the second stage. He then led the final 51 laps before winning the race and securing his title. Fellow contender Kyle Busch finished second in the race and the championship standings. Larson finished the race in third place.
