Both series will complete laps around Phoenix Raceway, the 1-mile track that hosts Championship weekend. Xfinity teams will qualify in the afternoon and then complete the season with a Saturday evening race. Cup Series teams will qualify in the afternoon while preparing for Sunday's season finale.
Cole Custer, Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill, and AJ Allmendinger are the drivers competing for the Xfinity Series championship. Custer is the reigning champion. The other three drivers in the Championship 4 continue to seek their first national series title.
Allgaier will start Saturday's race in the worst position due to a crash in practice that sent him to the backup car.
Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick are the Cup drivers competing for the championship on Sunday. Blaney is the reigning champ while Logano is a two-time champion. Reddick is making his first appearance in the title race while Byron is making his second.
Blaney led the group during practice on Friday evening. He was the fastest among Cup drivers while Byron was fourth-fastest. Logano was ninth-fastest while Reddick was 21st-fastest.
