Beard Motorsports has entered a handful of races in the NASCAR Cup Series over the years, with most of those starts having come at Daytona and Talladega. Drivers like Brendan Gaughan, Noah Gragson and Austin Hill have previously driven the No. 62 Chevy Camaro for the small family-owned team but 2024 will see a new face pilot the car as the team has announced the signing of Anthony Alfredo to drive a limited number of races.

Alfredo, known around racetracks as "Fast Pasta," will try to race his way into the 2024 Daytona 500 and he will also be back behind the wheel at the first race at Talladega later in the year. The team has also announced that it will enter the second races at both tracks, but a driver for those dates has yet to be named.
Executive Vice President of the team, Amie Beard, appreciates the hard work the team has done to stay in NASCAR's Cup Series, according to Kelly Crandall from Racer.com.
"The 2024 season marks our eighth year competing in the NASCAR Cup Series," Beard said. "It's surreal to even be referencing year number eight. This race team is a passion project for all of us. My dad loved the sport and it's a passion that we now share as a family. It's what drives this team.
That passion, matched with Alfredo's driving ability and a strong superspeedway car, should give the team a great shot at qualifying for "The Great American Race" at Daytona.
In the team's 26 starts at NASCAR's top level, Beard Motorsports has five top-10 finishes, with Gragson claiming the best-ever finish of fifth in the 2022 Daytona 500.
This gives Alfredo another Cup shot after he ran the entire 2021 campaign behind the wheel of the No.38 car for Front Row Motorsports. He has one top-10 finish in 38 career cup starts.
