Atlanta tripleheader weekend schedule & forecast

The NASCAR season continues with a tripleheader weekend in Georgia. All three series will take on EchoPark Speedway just outside of Atlanta.

The Truck Series and O'Reilly Auto Parts Series teams will both race on Saturday as part of a busy schedule. Cup Series teams will then race on Sunday to close out the weekend.

None of these series will have practice sessions. The opening weekend at Daytona marked the only time this season that teams practiced before qualifying at a drafting track.

Unlike past seasons, this weekend does not represent a spot in the playoffs. Instead, it will be all about points as teams try to fight for spots in The Chase. Winning the race will be even more important as the winner gets 55 points, an increase from 40 points in the past.
