Despite rumors about a possible move to the Cup Series in the open Kaulig Racing No. 31 car, Austin Hill looks to be content with staying with Richard Childress Racing.

Hill has seen plenty of success behind the wheel of the No. 21 Chevrolet for RCR with four wins this season in the NASCAR Xfinity series. He has made a handful of cup starts behind the wheel of the No. 62 car for Beard Motorsports as well.
As soon as Justin Haley made the announcement that he was moving to Rick Ware Racing in 2024, Hill's name jumped to the top of the possible drivers to take over the open seat at Kaulig.
Those rumors have been put to bed, as the 29-year-old has re-signed with RCR, looking to keep winning races at the Xfinity level. Hill put out a statement that he has found the perfect home with Richard Childress Racing.

"I've found a home at Richard Childress Racing and it's an honor to be able to continue my career racing for one of the most successful organizations in the garage," Hill said. "In looking at the next step of my career, I was presented with several opportunities, but it call came down to being surrounded by racers who want to win, believe in me, and will do their best to give me every opportunity to be successful. I want to thank Richard Childress and everyone at RCR and ECR Engines. I'm excited to race for wins and championships within the NASCAR Xfinity Series for years to come."
Car owner Richard Childress is proud of Hill for what he has accomplished already for the team but expects Hill to continue to win races and compete for championships for years to come.
"We're pleased that Austin has found success at RCR and are looking forward to competing for a championship in 2023, 2024, and beyond," Childress said.
It looks like Kaulig will have to look elsewhere to fill their open ride for next season.
