DARLINGTON, S.C. — Carson Hocevar has angered Brad Keselowski to the point that the 2012 Cup Series champion has vowed payback in the near future.

Keselowski brought out the caution on Lap 107 of the Southern 500, which opened the 10-race Chase. Hocevar slid up the track and into the rear quarter-panel of the No. 6 Ford, which turned it into the wall in Turns 3 and 4.
Keselowski's car began to spin to the left, and it appeared that Hocevar ran into him again.

Leaving the track on Sunday night, Keselowski faced questions from Above the Yellow Line Media about the incident. He succinctly said that Hocevar had spun him and added that "There will be" when asked if the two drivers had history.
When pressed for more information, Keselowski directly said, "His day is coming, and it's coming hard. Watch out, Carson."
Hocevar faced numerous questions about the incident after the race. He remained tight-lipped both while speaking to media members on pit road and to the USA Sports crew in his post-race interview.
"Yeah, he spun," Hocevar said. USA Sports' Dave Burns then followed up with, "Off of you," to which the driver responded, "Yeah, I guess. I don't know what happened. He spun."
This comment is not the only one that drew attention after the race. Hocevar also referenced the many critical comments made about him by his competitors when asking a question about the next race on the Chase schedule.
"I do everything for TV and entertainment purposes based off everybody else," he said. "Whatever makes good TV. I just do it for the clicks, you know what I mean?"
Neither Hocevar nor Spire Motorsports have shied away from the controversy since the driver took over the No. 77 on a full-time basis. Team owner Jeff Dickerson has supported his driver publicly and behind the scenes.
The team also kicked off the Chase by making a graphic featuring Hocevar surrounded by some of the critical comments. This includes such examples as "iPad kid," "Absolute weapon," and "Moron."
Once Hocevar spun Keselowski, RFK Racing repurposed the image to express some post-caution frustration.
