The young driver scored his first win since his father's passing. He captured the Micro A-Main at Port City Raceway in Oklahoma on Friday, July 17.
As he grabbed the checkered flag, he performed the signature bow that Kyle did countless times throughout his NASCAR career.
My first win since my dad passed. I don’t like to talk about it much, but the last two months have been really tough. I’m missing my crew chief, my driver coach, my dad, the guy who I looked up to more anyone. I know he would be proud the way I ran the top (much better than him… pic.twitter.com/L5za7M563G

"My first win since my dad passed," Brexton posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. "I don't like to talk about it much, but the last two months have been really tough.
"I'm missing my crew chief, my driver coach, my dad, the guy who I looked up to more anyone. I know he would be proud the way I ran the top (much better than him lol) to win my first Micro A-Main at Port City. We love and miss you so much dad."
The first child of Kyle and Samantha, Brexton has followed in his father's footsteps. He has focused on his racing career while competing in a variety of vehicles. This includes Micro Sprint cars and Legends.
The young racer achieved success early in his career, especially while relying on guidance from Kyle. He won the prestigious Tulsa Shootout in 2025, and he won numerous other races at tracks spread across the country.
Kyle and Samantha were at the track as much as possible as their son continued to gain experience behind the wheel, and Samantha will continue to do so moving forward. The experience will just not be the same for the heartbroken family.
"First win since losing Kyle," Samantha posted on Instagram. "I've never felt so proud and so heartbroken at the same time.
"Brexton continues to amaze me with his determination, his resilience, the way he keeps showing up to do what he loves even while carrying so much at such a young age.
"Watching him celebrate all I could think about was Kyle. There was nothing that made him happier than watching Brex race, spending the day tinkering on his car and then being the first one sprinting to Victory Lane with that huge grin on his face.
"I used to tell Kyle during all the late nights, roadtrips and chaos of long weekends at the track that one day when we were 80 we'd look back and say, 'Those were the best days of our lives.' I knew then and I know even more now, they really were."
