Bubba Wallace Trolls NASCAR Rival on X

Bubba Wallace had plenty of takeaways from this past weekend's race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

By far the biggest was how tough the racing was on his mind. Following his second-straight top-five finish to start the season, the driver of the No. 23 Toyota took to X to talk about how his "brain felt like mush."

It is no secret superspeedway racing in NASCAR has a major psychological part to it.

His top-five finish didn't come easy, as he had to overcome plenty of obstacles during the challenging 260-lap race.

His day started tough on lap two as he was in a massive 16-car wreck. He overcame a lot during the race, including falling a lap down, but raced his way back into contention late, which resulted in a fifth-place finish.

Wallace talked about his day on X, according to Andrew McCarthy from The Spun, and how challenging it was, but he also was happy about the fight his team did to get the finish they got.

"You have to be ON from start to finish," Wallace said via X. "Restarts at 1.5 miles is a lot like this..but that's 2-3 laps..Not 460. Proud of this 23 team. I set us back today but nothing we haven't overcome before. There is something special with this group this year! Time to lock in and get the stars aligned. Back-to-back top 5s is a great start... but there is 24 more left. Y'all enjoy it for me. Bourbon me."

That wasn't Wallace's only thoughts from Atlanta, as a video was later posted on social media showing his impressive work behind the wheel to overcome early struggles in the race.

The clip has since gone viral, and Wallace caught wind of it and had a little message for one of his fellow competitors in sharing the clip.

"Didn't have to cause the caution to get mine back," Wallace said in response, throwing shade at Kyle Busch it seems.

And like true NASCAR fans, one such fan noticed.

"Shots fired at KFB," @GregRoyce said via X.

It certainly seemed like it was directed at Busch, who like Wallace, went through an up-and-down day.
