The backlash followed a post that Muniz made on Instagram, which revealed they would end their marriage. This video showed the family dancing in the living room, and it included the caption of, "Who says you can't stay best friends with your baby momma?"

Muniz, 40, ultimately deleted the video and made a different post announcing the impending divorce. This second post showed the family standing together at the race track before a Craftsman Truck Series race.

"Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you," Paige wrote in the comments of the second post.

"This world is so (expletive)... divorce is bad, sure - it's not like we're excited about it... but we're two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can't believe people could scrutinize that."

Muniz and Paige exchanged vows and became husband and wife in 2019. They welcomed their son, Mauz Mosley, in 2021.

Paige has been a part of Muniz's life and career throughout some significant changes. The former child star has continued acting and even led a revival of Malcolm in the Middle. He also returned to racing after an early injury ended his open-wheel career.

Muniz moved to stock car racing in 2023. He first ran full-time in the ARCA Menards Series and finished fourth in the championship standings.

He has since moved to the Craftsman Truck Series season and competed in two full-time seasons while driving for Team Reaume. Although he missed four races in 2025 due to a fractured wrist and one race this season due to conflicting schedules.

"I'm endlessly grateful to Paige for everything she's done for me and our family," Muniz wrote in the divorce announcement. "She put her own dreams on hold so I could chase mine, and she was always my biggest supporter.

"That foundation of respect and friendship isn't going anywhere. We're excited to keep building Muniz Racing together and to co-parent our boy with the same teamwork and love we've always had."
