The Indiana native achieved this in what was the biggest moment of his Cup Series career. He took the lead from Bubba Wallace on the final lap of overtime, and then he received a crucial push from teammate Ty Gibbs.

This propelled Briscoe to the start-finish line first and into the Championship 4. Todd Gilliland, Gibbs, Wallace, and Cole Custer rounded out the top five.

"Ty Gibbs, incredible teammate there," an emotional Briscoe said after the race. "I would not have won that race without Ty. Just an amazing team effort. I can't believe I won a superspeedway race! I haven't done it any level anywhere.

"Just an unbelievable atmosphere. It's not hit me. We're going to Phoenix! So thankful the Lord's blessed me, opening an incredible door here at Joe Gibbs Racing. I just had such a peace. Normally I'm a nervous wreck around this place."

When the Indiana native landed with Joe Gibbs Racing, he made a point to say that he had to show he deserved this ride. He had to win.

This mindset stuck with him all season, even after he won at Pocono Raceway and Darlington Raceway. Now, he has shown he truly deserved this seat by scoring his third win of the season and adding another track style to his resume.

Briscoe also did something that no other Joe Gibbs Racing driver has achieved during this career day. He won a drafting track race in the No. 19 Toyota.

Carl Edwards won five races in the No. 19. None of these took place on a superspeedway. Martin Truex Jr. won 15 races in the No. 19. None of his wins took place on a superspeedway. Daniel Suarez never won in the No. 19 Toyota.

Now that Briscoe has captured his third win this season, he heads to a track where he has previous success. He will take on Phoenix Raceway, the 1-mile track where he scored his first career Cup Series win back in 2022.
